Citizen Watch has become a member of "1% for the Planet" as of April 1, 2023, and has begun an initiative to donate 1% of the annual sales of its official online store in Japan and Citizen flagship stores in Tokyo and Osaka back to the Earth. What is "1% for the Planet"
It is a non-profit organization (NPO) aimed at encouraging businesses to contribute to the protection of the natural environment, founded in 2002 by Yvon Chouinard, the founder of Patagonia, and Craig Matthews, the owner of Blue Ribbon Flies. Participating companies and individuals can contribute to environmental protection by donating 1% of their annual sales to non-profit environmental organizations dedicated to conservation efforts.
