The special model "Slimline Moonphase Date Manufacture" from Frederique Constant Boutique Tokyo is bursting with humor and imagination, featuring a manually assembled manufacture timepiece.
Frederique Constant is a true Swiss watch manufacture that produces its own movements and assembles watches by hand. However, the fact that the maison's timepieces are assembled by hand is not widely known. Thus, this model was born from the request to find a way to communicate this message to the French artist seconde/seconde/, known for their unique and captivating expression style.
With a bold new design that expresses a sense of freedom, this watch is filled with humor and imagination, using hand-painted-like logos and date displays, along with irregular moons and stars on the moonphase disc. It expresses the handmade characteristic of Frederique Constant manufacture watches through imperfect yet human letters and designs that can only be conveyed by hand.
The meticulously polished 42mm stainless steel case features a delicately shining matte silver dial and harmoniously paired moonphase and date hands. Additionally, the see-through case back offers a visual appreciation of the self-winding manufacture caliber FC-705, showcasing the perlage-decorated base plate, striped côtes de Genève-decorated bridges, and blue screws.
In Japan, this watch will only be available at Frederique Constant Boutique Tokyo. Please come and try it in-store.
