In celebration of the 35th anniversary of Citizen's professional sports watch brand, Promaster, we will be showcasing a timepiece with a very unique story in its history.
This is the automatic diver's watch, Challenge Diver, released in 1977. When it was discovered in 1983 at Long Reef Beach in Australia, the main body was covered in barnacles, yet its mechanism continued to operate normally, quietly keeping time. The condition of the barnacle attachment suggests it had been underwater for a long time, and it is legendary known as the "Fujitsubo Diver" among enthusiasts.
Normally stored in the headquarters museum, it is only available for viewing by a select few. However, we will be exhibiting it specially at Citizen Flagship Store Osaka and Tokyo. We invite you to take this opportunity to see it.
Exhibition Period
Citizen Flagship Store Osaka: June 14 (Friday) – June 27 (Thursday), 2024
Citizen Flagship Store Tokyo: June 29 (Saturday) – July 14 (Sunday), 2024
Additionally, we will have models based on the Challenge Diver, pursuing higher functionality and design, waiting for your visit. Experience the "Promaster" as it takes a new step beyond your imagination.
